Update!

It's been so long since my last post, I apologize! My art pool is still dry, thanks to this horrible art block. But class is now in session, and I return with some of my homework assignments!

Sketches!

 Hey guys!

Slowly, but surely, this artblock seems to be slipping away. I managed to produce two traditional pencil sketches, which I think look better than anything I'm doing digitally nowadays (my boyfriend agreed, too). I think all I need is a new direction for my style to go into. I may start doing the traditional lines, digital colour thing again.

This is more Mass Effect stuff, because I love love love that game, even though ME3's ending wasn't very satisfying.

New Paintings

Hey folks!

Here are some recent paintings done for class, just to keep this blog rolling a bit. Nothing too good, but enjoy nonetheless!

Art blocked!

An artist's worst nightmare. When you try so hard to draw something, but the motivation just isn't there and you lose interest in the initial sketching stage.

I'll try to get some art up soon!

My first old master replica project, all done! I realize it's not awesome, but I'm happy with it, especially since I'm completely new to painting.

Homework!

If oil paint were a person, I would marry it. And we would have one of those relationships where we fight allllll the time, but we still loved each other deep down inside but didn't really want to admit it. Yep, that's how I feel about this medium.

First week of the new semester is over, and I produced two (not so) lovely paintings, which I am fairly satisfied with. It was a good experience.

P.S: To those waiting of sketches, I will finish them when I have a moment. As you can see, my new husband these paintings are keeping me fairly busy.

Sketch Requests

Posted up an offer for sketch requests today on DA. I'll be posting the finished ones here. :)

1. Scott for KyleTheArtist - I don't know this character very well, so I apologize if he looks OOC.

 

2. Owl Pixie for Sasokity - This was so fun! *w* Had buckets of fun drawing the hair and face. I know she's very thin; the ref picture was very slender, as well, and I thought it fit well with the pixie theme.

3. Vilkas and Dovahkiin for Alas-De-Metal - I took some liberties with the armour. Especially Vilkas'... because musclesss, yessss...

4. Bakemono for ddsgale - Don't know much about this character, but he sure is pretty...

5. A Phoenix for Wargmo - First time trying something like this. It wasn't too bad. I still suck at drawing fauna.

Shepard

I've been having a bit of an art block lately. The kind where, I want to draw, I just don't know what. I managed to get out a quick sketch today of my Jane Shepard from Mass Effect 1 & 2 - perhaps in anticipation of Mass Effect 3, which is being released in March.

Mistakes a-plenty, I know. Oh well, I had fun anyway.

Summer Fun WIP

I thought I'd submit an old WIP that I obviously never finished. I liked how the characters came out, but as soon as I started the BG, I got incredibly bored with it and just put it away (I hate BGs that much). I may finish it sometime, only because I like the lineart.

For the record, these are my characters (left to right) Niall, Rylos and Zaran. This was mostly a test on whether I could still make my characters recognizable even if they had their hair down. And also an excuse to draw toned male torsos without reference. Mmm yesss... musclesss...

An Apology

Hi folks!

Sorry for the awful lack of posts and sketches here. I haven't been arting much this holiday and have been spending my days being lazy and playing video games (I know it's bad, I needed rest after my last classes).

My school semester is starting in a week, so I should be getting back into the artistic groove very soon. I'll probably be posting my oil paintings (as I'll be taking an oil painting class this semester), so stay tuned!
